A. Vogelaar-van Amersfoort is a Dutch writer. She was sixteen years old when she began her first book. This book, "Lakki, een jodenjongen," was published in 1965. Following this, she wrote "Tekko en de witte man." After its release in 1968, many more stories for children and other youth novels followed.
Her husband's work as a pastor took her to America, and as a result, some of the books by this author are set in the United States, such as "Vallende torens," about the attack on the Twin Towers in 2001. Vogelaar-van Amersfoort has written approximately sixty books, twenty of which have been translated into English.
