Aalsmeers Mannenkoor "Con Amore"
More than 183 times played this month
The Aalsmeer Men's Choir "Con Amore" lives up to its name. Since January 6, 1958, the choir has lovingly performed a diverse repertoire. Over the 60 years of its existence, the choir has presented many songs, CDs, competitions, and trips. Trips to both domestic and foreign destinations, including Wales and Canada, have been undertaken. We are also active in our own country, regularly venturing out to give mini-concerts in various towns on "Open Monument Day" in different provinces. We started in Friesland, then visited Zeeland, North Holland, Gelderland, Utrecht, and Brabant. Due to our anniversary year in 2018, we took a break, but for 2019, we may be considering Drenthe or Limburg. Con Amore is not just a singing association; it's a place where attention is paid to the person behind the singer, and where rehearsals and performances reflect unity and camaraderie. Of course, the conductor always plays a significant role, and Con Amore is fortunate to have the talented Theo van der Hoorn leading us. The concert on Sunday afternoon, October 28th, at the Open Hof Church in Aalsmeer marks the end of a 60-year journey that has brought us so much and began in 1958.
