From a young age, I've been inspired by the church organ. Thanks to my father, I had the opportunity to learn the basics of organ playing.
Since 1996, I've been serving as an organist and pianist. Currently, I'm associated with the Reformed Churches in Harderwijk (Grote Kerk, Bätz Organ), Hierden, and Huizen.
In addition to playing during Sunday worship services, I'm also available as an organist and pianist for funeral and wedding services.
I started taking trumpet lessons at the age of 8. Besides obtaining national music diplomas, I successfully completed the "Trumpet" course at the Hogeschool voor Muziek in Thorn.
Over the past years, I've had the privilege of playing as a brass instrumentalist (bugle, cornet, and trumpet) with numerous orchestras and choirs, including the Gelders Fanfare Orkest, Harmonieorkest Prinses Irene Huizen, Koninklijke Militaire Kapel Den Haag, and Veluwe Brass in Amersfoort.
In addition to performing as a trumpeter, I also work as a music teacher at various music associations.
Since I turned 16, I've delved into orchestral and choral conducting. I studied orchestral and choral conducting at the Hogeschool voor Muziek Kreato and at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten ArtEZ in Arnhem.
I've had the privilege of conducting my orchestras and choirs in many beautiful and unique concerts. Additionally, we've achieved good results at the World Music Contest and at (inter)national competitions.
Currently, I serve as a conductor for Fanfareorkest Excelsior Putten, Gelre Brass Harderwijk, Veluws Senioren Orkest, Christelijk Gemengd Koor Immanuel Bennekom, and the Cantorij of the Protestant Gemeente Harderwijk.
