Anke has over thirty years of teaching experience. She has successfully prepared various students for the conservatory harp entrance exam, and several of her students have won prizes in competitions.

Anke studied harp at the Utrecht Conservatory under Erika Waardenburg. In 1985, she obtained her teaching diploma and the following year, the Performing Musician diploma.

Under the name 'Anke Anderson,' she has made numerous CD recordings, including collaborations with organist Martin Mans. Since 1997, she has formed a permanent duo with cellist Mariėtte Gort, with whom she has recorded three CDs. Additionally, she provided music for the preschool production "Roos en het rengras" by the Opera Tralala foundation. She works as a freelance harpist with various choirs.

Anke is also trained as a children's cord teacher. The children's choirs of the Katwijk music school are under her leadership. In 2010 her children's choir Cantar won third prize at the Dutch Choir Festival.
After her studies, she made a debut LP with popular classical pieces, arranged by Piet Souer. In recent years, Anke Anderson has collaborated on numerous CDs and performed a lot of chamber music. She played in the Arpeggio Trio and performed with the flutist Anneke de Vries and the recorder player Robert Bakker, among others. With him she made a CD in 1993 entitled 'Two centuries of English music'. Her debut 'Premiere' was released on CD in the same year. Anke Anderson teaches harp lessons at the music schools in Haarlemmermeer and Katwijk. She is married to the composer Simon Burgers and has two children.

In addition, she provides music projects at primary schools in Katwijk.
