Bart was born on November 7, 2002, in Dordrecht. At a young age, he developed an interest in the organ, the king of instruments. At the age of 9, he received his first organ lessons from his father. He then took literature lessons from organist Lennard Verkamman in Sliedrecht, followed by lessons in accompanying congregational singing. "Music and singing connect people," says Bart. He finds accompanying Psalms on the organ the most beautiful thing to do.
In May 2020, Bart recorded his first organ CD in the Bovenkerk of Kampen. Due to the high demand following this sold-out CD, he has since recorded and made available more music and congregational singing of Psalms on YouTube, Familystream, and various CDs.
Bart's wish is that playing the organ and singing the Psalms may be to the glory of God's Name.
