BEN HAEMHOUTS
Ben Haemhouts was born in Mechelen (Belgium) in 1972 and started his trombone studies at the age of 18 with Michel Tilkin at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven, where he graduated with greatest distinction as a performing musician five years later.
Since September 1994 he has been associated with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra as second trombonist.
He is also a founder of the 'Flemish Brass Quintet' and is active as a trombonist of the Antwerp ensemble for contemporary music 'Champ d'Action'.
