Bert Koelewijn, born in 1953 in Spakenburg, is well-known as an organist, pianist, choir conductor, and arranger. He studied at various conservatories and successfully obtained his diplomas. At the Utrecht Conservatory, he studied Hammond organ under Emiel Simonis in 1979 and Organ under Kees van Houten in 1980. In 1989, he took his final exam for the Piano Diploma at the Hilversum Conservatory under the guidance of Matthijs Verschoor. He also attended the Gehrels Summer Course and various conducting courses.
