Mixed choir 'De Lofstem'
The mixed choir 'De Lofstem', originating from the Reformed Church, was founded on February 8, 1946, under the leadership of Rev. A. Verhagen.
The first conductor was Mr. C. Korteweg, followed by C. Kool, J. de Vries and D. van Zomeren, among others. Since 1993 under the direction of P. Wildeman with permanent organist A. Hobo.
The choir 'De Lofstem' consists of approximately 70 members and the repertoire from which it sang are Psalms, Spiritual and Patriotic songs.
The choir annually participates in various singing evenings in churches, nursing homes, etc.
This CD 'Praise Him in His Sanctuary' was made on the occasion of our 50th anniversary and the sale of this is intended for the expansion of our church building. A number of guest members of the men's and girls' choir also contributed to the recordings.
