Elisabeth Hopman (1981) was born in Assen. She wanted to play the flute from the age of five, but her arms were not long enough to hold the flute. That is why she started taking recorder lessons. At the age of nine, she was finally able to start taking flute lessons at the music school in Assen. At the age of fourteen, she gave her first concert performance. Since 1997, she has been taking flute lessons at the Noord Nederlands Conservatorium in Groningen, where she has been a main subject student for a number of years now. In addition to these studies, she has a flourishing flute teaching practice.
Over the years, Elisabeth has given her musical assistance to church services, concerts, various CDs and a number of radio and TV broadcasts. She also made successful tours to South Africa.
