Music has an important place in the lives of the Russian non-registered Baptists with whom Friendensstimme collaborates. Children are encouraged early on to choose an instrument and learn to play it. In families, there is a lot of singing and music together.
The same goes for the meetings in the churches. Evangelistic work is almost always framed by music and singing. Everything to praise the Lord God in all keys, as Psalm 150 expresses:
"Praise him with the sound of the trumpet; praise him with the lute and with the harp! Praise Him with the drum and flute; Praise Him with strings and organ!'
With these albums we want to share with you the music of the Christians in Russia. They would like to bring their musical talents to an ever higher level, because the Lord is worthy of it. But above all, they attach importance to the involvement of the heart in the music and the text. That is why we have translated and added the texts as literally as possible.
