Harm Hoeve is a musician who likes to communicate directly with his listeners and make them enthusiastic about the beautiful sounds of the organ and its music. He tries to bring the notes to life in such a way that the message of the music comes across in an appealing way. His organ playing is characterized by contrasts and dynamics. In one review, it was described as "enthusiastic where possible, subdued where necessary. He can be extraordinary, but also play engagingly with only a few stops." Harm Hoeve (Rouveen, 4 December 1964) went to the conservatory, also in Zwolle, after his education at the music school in Zwolle. He also attended the International Summer Academy in Haarlem. In 1989 he won first prize at the International Albert Schweitzer Festival; an organ competition for conservatory students. In 2014 he was awarded a Royal Decoration as a Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau.

As a choir conductor, Harm Hoeve is associated with three choirs: men's choir Stereo from Genemuiden, young mixed choir Immanuël on Urk and the Groot Nederlands Jongerenkoor.
With these choirs he made several CDs and participated in radio and TV broadcasts.

Harm Hoeve regularly writes chorale arrangements for organ. His organ music is published by his own publishing house IN HARMONY. Thirteen organ books have now been published. A lot of choral music by his hand is also available there; from a cappella to choir with orchestral accompaniment.
