Henk Jan Pap received his first organ lessons at the age of 8. His teacher was Gerben van de Put. Later in life he took lessons from Peter Eilander.
Since 2011 he has been the regular rehearsal director and accompanist of Children's Choir Kinderklanken from Nunspeet.
