The Interdenominational Psalm Choir "Laus Deo," founded in IJsselmuiden at the end of 1993, typically sings the Psalms in four-part harmonies. They also regularly sing alternate or descant settings. The Interdenominational Youth Psalm Choir "Laus Deo" was founded in May 2002 in Grafhorst. This choir, whose members are between 7 and 16 years old, usually sings two-part harmonies.
Both choirs participate several times a year in singing events for foundations and similar organizations. In a simple manner, the choirs aim to sing the Psalms, thereby proclaiming and spreading the Word. The choirs' objective is reflected in the title of this CD: "Give Him Glory." This title is derived from the opening and closing, where Psalm 100 verses 1 and 4 are sung. It is our wish that through singing and listening to these Psalms, indeed His glory is intended.
