Johan van der Graaf (1979) received his first organ lessons from his father at the age of 6. At the age of 11, he accompanied congregational singing for the first time at the St. Lambertuskerk in Oldebroek, where he served as head organist until 2008. He received his musical education from Peter Eilander (organ) and Herman Riphagen (piano) and attended a masterclass on French Romantic organ literature with Ben van Oosten in Rouen. Johan is the regular accompanist for several choirs and frequently accompanies various choirs and instrumentalists on organ and piano during concerts and CD recordings. Additionally, he teaches organ to several students. Besides his musical pursuits, Johan works as an advisor on building regulations at an engineering firm.
