When I was 10 years old I started playing the flute and was able to obtain several diplomas at the Zeeland music school in Zierikzee. I have been able to contribute to several CD recordings and played a lot during concerts but also with various choirs and musicians. I am the conductor of Children's Choir de Kleine Lofstem from Geldermalsen, Children's and Teen Choir from Veenendaal and mixed choir Laudate Deum from Leerbroek. I am also associated with the project men's group Canticum Fidei from Geldermalsen.
The Samarita Foundation is committed to our loved ones in Romania and Ukraine. They organized a singing evening in the Sint Maartenskerk in Tiel where the children's choir the Kleine Lofstem from Geldermalsen was asked to participate. The idea arose to add a men's ensemble to this. The call for this went out and 25 enthusiastic men signed up for it. After a number of rehearsal evenings, a singing evening followed, where both the children's choir and the men's ensemble separately and jointly gave substance to beautiful songs and psalms under the direction of the inspired conductor Jolanda van Dam.
