Josephus Gerardus Brink was born during the war in Heiloo, but grew up in Rotterdam. At the age of sixteen, Jos Brink enrolled in the radio play course of the Dutch Radio Union and was, at eighteen, the youngest actor of the Radio Play Core. Jos Brink made his radio debut in 1959 at the age of seventeen. He was an artistic jack of all trades.
