Liesbeth van Binsbergen (Hasselt, 1969) is a Dutch writer of children's books. Van Binsbergen writes for both young and older children. In addition to her writing, she worked for more than thirty years in primary education as a group teacher and remedial teacher. Since then, she has focused entirely on writing.
In 2006 she won the EigenWijsPrijs for the most beautiful Christian children's book, chosen by children themselves, with the book "Geflitst". This prize was awarded to her on September 23, 2006, at the start of the Christian Children's Book Month, in the IJsselhallen in Zwolle. She also won this prize in 2008, with the book 'Speurders in de speeltuin'.
In 2010 she won "The Highest Word" with her book "Don't come closer". This prize is for the best Christian children's book of the past year.
In 2019 she won the EigenWijsPrijs again, this time with the book 'Welcome to the cubs'.
