Lise de Munck (2003) was fascinated by the flute at a young age and started taking flute lessons at the age of 6. She followed her lessons in the talent class at the Music School Zeeland of teacher Elma Meijer. In June 2020 she obtained her D-exam in the choir church of Middelburg Cum Laude with works by Fauré and the Carmenfantasie van Borne.
Since September 2020, Lise has been studying at the Conservatory of Rotterdam (Codarts), where she follows principal subject flute with principal subject teachers Juliette Hurel and Julie Moulin. She also takes Piccolo as a subsidiary subject with Wim Steinmann and piano with Eli ’t Hart.
Lise followed masterclasses with, among others, Aldo Baerten, Peter Verhoyen, Emily Beynon and Valerie Debaele. In addition, she has participated several times in the International Flute Seminar Bruges (IFSB) and at the Dutch Flute Academy (Neflac).
Lise has won several national and international prizes. In 2016 she won the 2nd prize in the AZUMI flute contest, in May 2017 the 3rd prize at the Benelux Flute Competition and in April 2019 the 3rd prize in the final of the Dutch International Flute Competition.
In addition, in April 2019 she convincingly won both the first prize and the audience prize at the Eastman competition in Middelburg. In addition to a sum of money, she has won a solo performance with the Zeeuws Orkest. Just before the corona pandemic, she soloed with the Zeeuws Orkest with the Carmen Fantasie van Borne.
From 2013-2019, Lise played in the Zeeland Youth and Student Orchestra, where she played solo with Mozart's Rondo, among other things. Since 2021 she is part of the Divertimento trio (violin, flute, piano). In recent years she has collaborated on various CD recordings and concerts, and plays with various choirs.
In addition to her conservatory studies, Lise has several private students on flute lessons in her own teaching practice.
