At the age of 9, I started taking piano lessons with Diana Sijrier. It quickly became apparent that I preferred playing from memory rather than sheet music.
After a few years, I began creating my own improvisations, which is still my favorite thing to do. After 5 years, I had another year of lessons at the Zeeuwse Music School.
Now, I occasionally play in church or for an album, but my absolute favorite is playing completely alone in the Adriaanskerk in Dreischor.
