Louis Nieuwelink is geboren op 28 februari 2006. Al op zijn achtste bleek zijn interesse in muziek, en kreeg hij zijn eerste fluitlessen. Na enige tijd de normale lesboeken te gebruiken werd er de stap gemaakt naar klassieke muziek. Enkele jaren later hoorde men voornamelijk Bach, Händel en Telemann uit de kleine muziekschool komen.
Vanaf zijn twaalfde kreeg Louis les van Dorette Lagendijk, die hem introduceerde aan muziek van Mozart, Chopin, Godard, Massenet en Doppler. Naast deze romantische en impressionistische componisten waren ook Bach, Telemann en Vivaldi nog sterk aanwezig. In de tussentijd had Louis vanaf zijn twaalfde ook pianoles. Eerst van Arjan Versluis en later van Marc Schippers. Zijn interesse voor klassieke muziek bleef groeien. Nu kwamen ook Holst, Rachmaninoff,
Tchaikovsky and Schubert in the picture. He began to study orchestral works more and more, and was soon composing himself. A YouTube channel was also not left out of the picture, and since 2020 he has been uploading videos with some regularity.
Louis is still a great lover of the classical masters to this day, but there is also room for Christian music. Louis considers it a beautiful and honorable calling to honor God through music and all kinds of other expressions of art.
Next school year (2023-2024), Louis hopes to study at one of the many conservatories in our country. His current teachers are still Dorette Lagendijk and Marc Schippers. He himself has recently started giving flute lessons in his hometown Nieuw-Lekkerland.
