Maaike Nugteren (1991) started playing the flute at the age of 10. She started flute lessons with Coby van de Woestijne in Alblasserdam. She continued her lessons in Amersfoort with Francien Post and then studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory with Marieke Schneemann and at the Utrecht Conservatory with Aldo Baerten.
She also took lessons with Thies Roorda, Herman van Kogelenberg, Abbie de Quant, Kersten McCall and Harrie Starreveld.
In addition to the many lessons she received herself, she also has experience in teaching and participating in concerts.
She is currently taking lessons with Kees Alers to further develop her flute playing.
