Marten Kamminga received his first organ lessons from his father.
At a young age, he began improvising and writing small compositions. Marten has since composed many works, including pieces in the collection Zingende Gezegend (Singing Blessed).
He also writes his own lyrics, which are strongly focused on emotional experience.
In 2011, the songbook Nader tot Jou (Closer to You) was published, featuring 277 of his songs.
As the musical director of the Combo, he arranges the adaptations, adding an extra dimension to the singing.
