From 1985 to 2001 Martin de Deugd was concertmaster of the Capital Operetta. After the dissolution of the Capital Operetta in 2001, Martin de Deugd worked as concertmaster of the Netherlands Promenade Orchestra. Martin de Deugd also performed as a soloist, a.o.; Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Concertgebouw De Doelen Rotterdam and Queen Elizabeth Hall Antwerp. Martin de Deugd has played concerts in Tokyo and Nagoya in Japan and played recitals with Canadian concert pianist Patricia Parr in Toronto, Canada.

Martin de Deugd has been a soloist in all theatres in the Netherlands and Belgium in "DIETRICH, the Musical" alongside Jasperina de Jong in the role of Marlene Dietrich, who received the Dutch Musical Award in 2002 ( www.marlenedietrich.nl )
Martin de Deugd was concertmaster at several musicals and shows, including TITANIC REMBRANDT, the Musical ( www.rembrandtdemusical.nl ) WIENER TRADITION, the theater tour with Wilma Driessen ( www.wienertradition.nl ) and the TV program UNA VOCE PARTICOLARE.
In recent years, Martin de Deugd has been 2nd concertmaster of The Opera Philharmonic in Amsterdam (www.operas.nl)

Martin de Deugd collaborates on numerous CD and TV recordings of religious repertoire ( Nederland Zingt ) and is therefore a much sought-after soloist at concerts of the many church choirs in the Netherlands, but has also performed as a soloist in Notre Dame Paris, Berliner Dom, Copenhagen Dom, Brandenburg Cathedral. In April 2008 Martin de Deugd participates in the Nederland Zingt Dag 2008 in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht (www.nederlandzingt.nl).
In May, Martin de Deugd will participate in the unique Elderly Song Festival 2008 (www.ouderensongfestival.nl)
