Martin Vermeer

More than 227 times played this month

Martin has been singing since childhood. He first sang in a boys' choir and by the age of 15, he was already singing in a men's choir. Around that time, he cautiously began giving performances as a soloist. Together with a friend who played the organ, they performed in nursing homes. That's how it all began. Since its founding in 2005, Martin has been affiliated with the Elspeets Men’s Ensemble, where he also performs as a soloist. Throughout his musical career, he has participated in numerous performances with choirs, ensembles, recordings for CDs, TV appearances (EO and RO), and church services.

Education Martin received lessons from well-known soprano Annette Essers-ten Berge (from the Veluwe region), Esther de Vos, Petra Stoute, and Clara de Vries. He also took a Masterclass with Tenor Aart Mateboer, where he mastered John Stainer's Crucifixion.
