The Dutch Police Orchestra - calling card of the Dutch police
The Dutch Police Orchestra (NPO) is a symphonic wind orchestra consisting of fifty musicians who work for the Dutch police. They come from almost all police regions in the country. The NPO was founded in 1995 and is the musical calling card of the Dutch police.
The NPO is managed and administered by the Dutch Police Orchestra Foundation. This foundation aims to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the relationship between the police and Dutch society with the orchestra.

The artistic director and conductor of the Dutch Police Orchestra is Nico Boom. Nico Boom has a lot of experience in music, both as a performing musician and as a conductor.
