Why did you start writing: I wrote stories as a child and teenager and when I finished my college education I decided to just try to write a 'real' book. I wanted to know if I had what it takes to come up with an exciting and romantic story and also fill enough pages. The story of my first book flowed right out of it. The second book took a little more effort, also because of the theme of grief and mourning. My third book took me a few years. The war is a sensitive subject and my inspiration came to a halt. Still, I persevered and I truly believe that God has led me to finish this third book as well!

What books have you written: Operation Shared Need, Sidetrack, Resistance.

Why did you start writing children's books: The target group of young adults appeals to me because it can sometimes be difficult to shape your faith in God. In addition, you will discover how you stand in friendships and relationships and you may have to deal with themes such as grief and mourning. The main characters in my books also go through all of this and I hope that readers feel connected to them as a result. After all, there's nothing like a wonderful book to swoon over and forget everything around you for a while!

Why at Mes Publishers: After I finished my first manuscript, I wrote to publisher Mes and they offered me the opportunity to publish it!

What is the message in your book(s): Going on adventures together with God and in relationship with others in ordinary and special circumstances of life.

What is your goal: I hope that readers feel addressed and encouraged by God in a theme that is on their mind at that moment.
