Tenor Paul van den Bemt (1960) studied solo singing at the Brabants Conservatorium in Tilburg with Marius van Altena and Marianne Klep. He continued his studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Meinhart Kraak. He took interpretation lessons with Paul Hillier, Rebecca Stewart, Emma Kirkby, Anthony Rooley, Bernard Kruijsen and Max van Egmond. Paul van den Bemt sang opera, oratorio and lied in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Great Britain, Poland and Israel. Paul van den Bemt provided soloist support for CD recordings of Bach's Passions and Handel's Messiah for the Quality Classics and Vanguard labels. He can regularly be heard on radio productions with renaissance and baroque repertoire.
