Ton Burgering was born in 1973 in Barneveld. In his 7th year, Ton received his first piano lessons. He then took organ lessons with Herman van Vliet, among others. Since 1996 he has been the permanent organist at the Oude Kerk in Barneveld. In addition to being an organist, Ton also wanted to further develop his piano playing, so he continued his studies with Herman Riphagen, who was his personal coach.
As an organist, pianist and conductor he accompanies and conducts various choirs. In addition, he is a rehearsal director for a number of (children's) choirs. Furthermore, he is frequently asked as an organist/pianist to participate in various concerts and CD recordings.
From 1990 – 2006 Ton worked at Verhoog Muziek - Nijkerk as a piano technician and tuner. To this end, he followed a three-year course at the piano school in Amsterdam. As a piano tuner he has worked for Enrico Pace, Igor Roma, Jan Vayne, Louis van Dijk and Eliane Rodrigues, among others.
On May 1, 2006, Ton Burgering started his own company: Burgering Muziek. In addition to being an organist, pianist and conductor, Ton is active in the maintenance and tuning of pianos and grand pianos and the rental of these instruments.
