I'm an illustrator. And cartoonist. And writer.
In 1990 I graduated from the art academy in Kampen. After that, I illustrated more than 100 books. For all kinds of publishers. I have given painting lessons, and cartoon drawing workshops.
Writing also seemed like a lot of fun, so I tried that too. And through that trying, the series Silvester was born, later followed by the series Lotte Laat Maar.
In my work I use all kinds of different materials, such as acrylic paint, watercolor, colored pencil, ink, and marker.
