My name is Willemijn de Weerd. Married to Wilfred and mother of four daughters. For more than 15 years I worked in primary education. I have been writing children's books for almost 20 years now. And I do that with great pleasure. My books have been nominated for several awards, including the Thea Beckman Prize. I'm not afraid and I'll send you the sun won the prize The Highest Word.
I love to make children enthusiastic about books. It is with great pleasure that I regularly tour the country to visit schools, libraries and bookstores. During my school visits, I make music, there are beautiful illustrations to admire and I regularly have a suitcase full of inspiration with me to come up with stories together. I love interaction, that's why my visits are always interactive.
I also speak regularly to adults and have several biblical scenes.
