The Dutch singing talent Willemijn (1996) from Urk has been singing from the moment she can speak, so to speak. When she was five, she became a member of the Urk children's choir 'Klein maar Dapper'. At the age of six, she had her first major public performance during the annual Ascension Day concert in the Urk fish auction.

Bert Moll, conductor of the well-known Urk Men's Choir Hallelujah, discovered Willemijn during one of the performances of the Urk Children's Choir Klein maar Dapper. When she was 9 years old, she sang for the first time during the annual Christmas Choir Concert in a sold-out Utrecht music center Vredenburg.

Willemijn broke through in the Netherlands with her first DVD: "Higher than the blue skies" and conquered the hearts of many Dutch children and families with her natural voice.
At her young age she managed to make several DVDs and CDs with great success.
Vocally, Willemijn is currently being trained by the internationally renowned singing teacher Joke de Vin and her regular accompanist Bert Moll.
