Wim Magré (1962) was nationally known for his concert organist throughout the country. In recent years, he has been doing this together with his son Wilbert on the grand piano under the name 'Magré & Magré in concert'. Magré also recorded a large number of CDs on well-known Dutch organs, including in his own Elburg, Kampen, Apeldoorn, Bolsward and The Hague. He also toured several times in America and Canada.
In addition, Magré was the conductor of various choirs in the Veluwe, such as the Elburg Men's Choir OBK, mixed choirs in Oldebroek, Doornspijk and Ermelo and children's choirs in Oostendorp, Doornspijk and Urk. Magré received his first music lessons at the music school in Elburg. He then studied organ with Willem Hendrik Zwart, organist of the Bovenkerk in Kampen. And at the Conservatory in Zwolle he studied organ with Dorthy de Rooy. As organist, Magré was associated with the Grote of St. Nicolaaskerk in Elburg and the Alle-Dag-Kerk (English church at the Begijnenhof) in Amsterdam.
